Our Story
High Latitude Hemp is an independent hemp brand based in Bolungarvík, in Iceland's Westfjords. We grow our flower indoors, where we can manage the growing environment throughout the year.
Behind the brand is practical growing experience and a background in plant research. Our story brings together the grower, the plant and the place.
The next chapter - in development
Alongside today's indoor-grown flower, we are developing hemp genetics and cultivation methods for Iceland's short, cool growing season.
Our aim is outdoor-grown flower and seed, with reliable quality and yield, opening new possibilities for northern agriculture. This work is still in development; the flower currently offered is indoor-grown.

Our flower is cultivated indoors in Bolungarvík, in Iceland's Westfjords. Our outdoor cultivation work is a separate development project.
Pre-orders are open now. Our CBD ointment is made with CBD from 100% Icelandic-grown hemp, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, vitamin E and beeswax. The first release will be 6% CBD and is planned to be available for Christmas 2026. It is not yet in regular stock; pre-orders are currently taken through the CBD Ointment product page.
